Delivery Timeline
Delivery Timeline
Each set of dice is crafted entirely by hand — yes, every single piece! Because of this, please allow a lead time of 6–8 weeks before your order ships. We recommend planning your order with this timeline in mind, especially if it’s for a gift or a specific date.
Inking Options
Inking Options
The dice shown in photos are raw (not sanded and not inked). Every order will be fully sanded and polished before delivery. You can choose from the following inking options:
- Blank – No inking on the dice. Ideal for collectors who want to see all the design details clearly, or for players who prefer to ink their own dice.
- Pre-inked – Inking color is chosen by the maker. The specific color used is listed in the product description under the “Inking” section.
- Custom Inking (extra cost)– You choose the inking! Be as specific as you'd like — for example: "metallic sapphire blue", or "all numbers in silver except the highest face in gold."
Material
Material
These dice are made with epoxy resin, a crystal-clear, durable material that’s perfect for showcasing detailed designs and delicate inclusions like washi tape or foil. It has a warm, glass-like finish that feels great in the hand and looks stunning on the table.
Care Tips:
- Store your dice in a soft pouch or padded box to avoid scratches.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat to prevent yellowing or warping.
- Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth — no harsh chemicals or alcohol.
Handmade resin dice are pieces of functional art. With a little care, they’ll stay beautiful for many adventures to come.
Potential Flaws & Variations
Potential Flaws & Variations
All dice are crafted in a pressure pot for a smooth outer finish, and the exterior is mostly flawless. However, due to the nature of hand sanding and polishing, minor surface scratches may be present.
The inner design is wrapped with washi tape, and because this is a handmade process:
- You may notice slight peeling at corners or edges.
- Some overlapping of tape may appear, especially where faces meet.
- I use a collage-style layered wrapping, not a precisely cut wrap for each face.
This approach follows the wabi-sabi philosophy — embracing the beauty in imperfection. If you're looking for factory-level uniformity, these handmade pieces may not be for you. But if you value the unique character of each set, I hope you’ll love them as much as I loved making them.
Each set is handmade, so no two sets will be exactly the same. There may be small variations in placement, pattern, or detail — but every set is crafted with the same care, quality, and love as the one you see in the photos.
Dice Balance
Dice Balance
A common question I get: Are washi tape dice balanced?
The short answer is — yes, balanced enough for casual play!
Washi tape is extremely lightweight — a single square inch weighs less than 0.01 grams. It’s thinner than printer paper and is carefully applied in layers across the dice faces. Because of this, it has negligible impact on roll fairness.
Each die is pressure-cast to eliminate bubbles and hand-finished to ensure a smooth outer. While they may not be casino-certified, they roll consistently and beautifully for TTRPGs and everyday games.
If you want mathematically perfect dice, you can get high quality factory sets. But if you love playable art with personality, you’re in the right place.
